Soil investigation is very crucial when designing a foundation for heavy loads or the building to be constructed on loose or poor soil. Through the soil subsurface investigation, the structural design Engineer who does the foundation design, will gets the idea of the Bearing capacity of the soil, what is the suitable type of foundation, at which depth the foundation structure should be kept from the ground level, etc. Based on the above recommendation by the Geotechnical Engineer, the Structural Engineer can be done the Foundation Design so as to safely transfer the building loads to the soil. We do the initial investigation and depending on the soil condition, proceed with the soil tests as an initiative of foundation design.
